FLOURISH CULTURE. FOR HUMANITY.

The world is growing increasingly divided, polarized, and conflicted. In the West, this is especially seen along the conceptual lines of human and cultural diversity. The root cause of which is our misunderstanding of human nature, and thus what constitutes human diversity and human society itself. For, where there is no humanity, there is nothing to unify us, and only division and strife can remain. Add in the pressures of cultural pluralism and globalization and things are set to grow even more volatile—and even where it does not lead to civil unrest it still prevents flourishing and redemption and that is ill-fated enough.

The glimmer of hope is, people from all sides are seeing that our current mode of being is not sustainable and a new way to frame and interpret our modern moment is needed—a new framework, new ways to discourse, and refreshingly humane remedies that resolve causes not just their symptoms. That is where Flume comes in.

Flume is a humanities-rich think tank and creative academic studio dedicated to knowing and proclaiming the universal nature and dignity of the human person, unearthing and redeeming the roots of societal polarization, and cultivating the true, the good, and the beautiful in every area of culture.

In action, using its uniquely integrative, first principled, and humanities-rich framework (what we call, The Human Experience Framework), Flume exists for three reasons:

For humanity. To help flourish the understanding and affirmation of our common nature as equally dignified and diversely equipped human persons. To foster clarity concerning human nature, human equality, human dignity, human diversity, human flourishing, and the universal human experience.

For peace. To be a voice of reason and mercy in the public square. To help alleviate volatile tension in culture by fostering humane discourse in the pursuit of truth. To ease civil unrest in the pursuit of common ground, common humanity, and common grace.

For flourishing. To foster solutions that are not merely aimed at removing problems but rather toward the cultivation of redemption and a fullness of the good, true, and beautiful for all. To cultivate the means that lead us all toward greater human flourishing—individually, organizationally, socially, culturally, and generationally.
